Terms & Conditions

1. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all official stewards. 2. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 3. The competition will be run under Pony Club Rules 2020. Entry is taken as acceptance of these rules. 4. No hat or body mounted cameras. 5. The decision of the judges is final. Objections must be made to the secretary within 15 minutes of the incident. 6. No outside assistance is permitted except in Class 2. 7. Paper numbers will be used for Novice & Open classes. Each rider will require their own bib to display these numbers. 8. Hats must comply to current Pony Club 2020 rules. All hats must have new aquamarine Pony Club Tag (tagged by their own branch) or BE/BRC hat tag before the event. They must be worn with the chin strap correctly fastened at all times when mounted. For a full list of approved hat standards, please go to www.pcuk.org 9. Body Protectors must be worn. Body protectors must meet BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (purple label) or BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label). Competitors wearing body cages MUST leave the key with the Secretary before they go cross country. If you wear an air jacket you must wear a Level 3 body protector underneath. 10. Medical Armbands- it’s the competitor’s responsibility to wear a PC/BE medical armband during the cross-country phase if they have a medical condition that may impact on their care in the case of an emergency. 11. In the event of the Hunter Trials being cancelled, a percentage of the entry money may be retained. No refund for withdrawals after closing date of entries. 12. No Horse or Pony may compete in more than two classes, except if accompanying a younger competitor in Class 1. 13. Competitor and pony combinations in Class 1,2,3 and 4 may not compete in the Novice or Open Classes unless accompanying a younger competitor in Class 1. 14. Minimus course is for children, but they may be accompanied by an adult in the pairs. 15. No hoodies to be worn for riding. 16. A practice fence will be provided. Any competitor jumping any other fence on the field or course, except when competing, will be disqualified for the rest of the day. 17. There will be a £5 levy per rider for paramedics. 18. All classes will be drawn order. 19. Late entries will only be taken subject to space. 20. No dogs allowed at any time please. 21. All competing horses must have had a yearly flu vaccination All passports will be checked.
